What We Believe Button

 We believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God

  • Jesus is the son of God and Mary, his mother, was a virgin

  • Christ died on the cross and came back to life after three days

  • In the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

  • In regular “special services” – Communion & Baptism

When you’ve asked Jesus to take control of your life, the Holy Spirit comes into you to help you make good decisions, decisions that please God.  God’s goal is to make you like Christ, make you perfect. Though we will never become “perfect”, we are always striving to please God in what we do, say, and think.

Pleasant Chapel believes that our main purpose as individuals is to bring glory to God. 1 Cor. 10:31 says to do all to the glory of God.   This includes your personal life, work life, and church life. Being a follower of Christ is a “daily thing” not just “going to church on Sunday”.  We believe that one of our main purposes as a church body is to help others come to Christ and encourage believers on their spiritual journey.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.”        Romans 12:1–2  NIV
